Along the way, you'll find access points to the beach, cocktail bars, beach cafe's, beautiful african artwork and curios for sale, the prominent Umhlanga lighthouse, rock pools, pristine surf and a new modern pier thats just recently been built with magnificent blue lights that shine against the pier at night. ... which has guards patrolling the boardwalk to make your holiday is safer.

After a long day at the beach, it's time to kickback, relax with an ice cold beer or cocktail at some of best restaurants, bars and lounges Umhlanga has to offer. Umhlanga's nitelife teems with holiday makers, students and people who have a taste for top class delicious seafood. ... GATEWAY SHOPPING MALL
Up on Umhlanga's ridge is the very hard to miss Gateway shopping Centre. Hosting a variety of shops and entertainment activites and faciltiies, including, the highest free-standing indoor climbing wall in the world (22.5 metres high), Go-kart track, standing waves at the Wave House, Huge skate park, 4x4 tracks / courses, bowling alley, putt putt course,(great to keep the kids entertained while the adults can do their shopping) ... Imax theatre, a variety of different restaurants, clothing shops, supermarkets, and much more. Gateway is know to be the "Theatre of Shopping".



THE SHARKS BOARD
Take an educational tour at the well known Sharks Board. The headquarters is close by and on top of the Umhlanga ridge. This research facilitiy centre aims at trying to understanding the still very misunderstood and feared marine creature. Learn, how to protect ourselves against shark attacks and learn to conserve and protect the sharks that inhabit our waters.



SIBAYA CASINO:
Feeling lucky? Wanna dice with the high rollers? Do take a 10 minute drive up North to Sibaya Casino. - An African themed Casino with large statues of carved elephants and African Animals. The Casino Hosts not only the Casino, but top class restaurants, takeaways, shops and has Nightlife which we'll leave you to find out!



THE HAWAAN FOREST
A beautiful indigineous forest which is inhabited many species of birds / animals and tropical trees, that has been left in its natural state for centuries. Put on your hiking shoes and venture through this forest with trails to follow and picnic spots. A lagoon lies on the far end of the forest to cool off in after your scenic walk through the Hawaan Forest!
